As of Thursday, March 17, several demonstrations and protest actions have been called in different places in Honduras to demand justice for the murders of Berta Cáceres and Nelson García, and to denounce the worsening of attacks and harassment against personas and communities organized in the Civic Council of Indigenous Peoples’ Organizations of Honduras (COPINH).

We, the members of IM-Defensoras, demand that the government of Honduras comply with its obligation to guarantee security and protection to all people participating in the demonstrations and to avoid any repressive action whatsoever, including acts of sexual harassment or violence.
